Question: Discuss about the Professional Skills for Information and Communication Technology. Answer: Introduction: Security and privacy policies are the most important things that are needed to be considered to be implemented before using the concept of manual data arrangement system. Being an Information Technology consultant, in order to keep the personnel and financial information of the employees secured, different encryption keys are required to be introduced (Leicester, 2016). Implementation of appropriate encryption algorithm, only the authenticated users will be able to access the details. In order to identify different records, the IT consultant is employed to analyze the database of the consumers. However to keep the security of the process flow the accounts of the users who are inactive from last three years are suggested to be deleted. The purpose is to block the users, who are no longer part of the organization (Lindley et al., 2013). If the ex users are not deactivated then they will keep on using the reward programs facilitate for the employees which is commercially lead to loss. While considering this incident, from the ethical perspectives, the element conducted by ASC that is mostly required to be considered is honesty. After get to know, that if the accounts of the ex employees or more three years deactivated account are deleted then many friends and even family members will get affected (Venables, Tan Pradhan, 2014). Instead of explaining this to the friends and family the consultant should inform the manager about the chaotic situation. Due to the undertaken action honesty is the most effective ethical factor that is needed to be considered. If the situation is critically analyzed then, professionalism and professional develop are the two other factors that are considered. The consultant should keep him or herself more professional by continuous development, up-gradation of skills and knowledge (Burmeister et al., 2014). The professional behavior will help to distinguish the personal and professional opinion of the employees. This factor will give realistic estimation of project. Then, proper decision making approach will become easier. A proper ICT communication and development will also become efficient after considering these ASC ethical perspectives. An ICT professional is strictly required to be an ethical person, because, it helps to increase the awareness of problems that might affect the ICT profession and interactive relationship among the service provider and the consumers as well. The behavior will encourage the other colleagues and employee (Leicester, 2016). The overall professional need will be developed if the IIT consultant develops the additional responsibilities.
